Rudbeckia Plant Seeds

₹35.00

Equally at home in wildflower meadows and cultivated gardens, black-eyed Susans (Rudbeckia hirta) brighten the landscape wherever they grow. At the center of each bright yellow blossom is a dark-colored "eye," or cone that holds hundreds of seeds, called nutlets. The nutlets are fully mature three or four weeks after the flowers bloom, but they are easier to harvest if you wait until the cone spreads open a bit.

The most popular variety of Rudbeckia is without a doubt the Black-Eyed Susan. They can be grown directly in the garden, or by the masses to populate bare spots along driveways, walkways and fences.

Rudbeckia will grow to a mature height of roughly 24 to 36 inches tall, and will produce it's warm colored blooms through the Summer months. Deadheading spent flowers is a great way to prolong it's blooming period. Rudbeckias make excellent cut flowers and can be used in floral arrangements and bouquets.
